New Jersey SUP Yoga Teacher Training - June 5-6, 2021
Jump into the water and onboard for our SUP Yoga Teacher Training! Kristel Fillmore who was trained and certified by "Yoga Girl" Rachel Brathen in Aruba has designed her own program to bring your style of teaching off the mat and floating on water.
What you'll learn and get?
SUP Skills: Paddle technique including stroke and maneuvering, board anatomy and handling, entry and exit techniques, caring for your board.
Instructing a beginner SUP lesson
Weather and water safety: Regulations, local knowledge, rescue techniques, and lifesaving skills.
Anchor systems: Individual and group
Adapting and sequencing asana on the water
Building Your Business: Purchasing and preparing, start-up capital, marketing, and advertising, web development and software, reaching your audience.
Equipment provided for the duration of training

8:30 a.m. Introductions and Equipment
9:00 a.m. SUP Yoga Class (this class is open to the public so you will experience SUP yoga as a student)
10:30 a.m. All Levels Paddle Tour (this class is also open to the public. You will gain a understanding of our safety protocol at this class)
11:30 a.m. Dry Off and Lunch (one hour)
12:30 p.m. Weather + Water Safety + Anchor Systems
1:30 p.m. SUP Lesson Practice Teach
3:00 p.m. Open Discussion

8:00 a.m. Tows + Rescues
9:00 a.m. SUP Yoga Class (possible master class)
10:15 a.m. Equipment Care
11:00 a.m. Dry Off and Lunch (one hour)
12:00 p.m. SUP Yoga Practice Teach
3:00 p.m. The Business of SUP and SUP Yoga
We will conclude the day no later than 4pm on Sunday.
We require a 200 hour Yoga Alliance certification or equivalent teaching experience. If you are unsure about your experience, please complete the application and explain clearly your yoga practice and teaching. CPR certification is required before graduation certificate will be issued.
All trainings are not refundable.
